… And The Visit Ends

It is a cool, beautiful morning here in Hawaii Nei, and it is the day of “going home.” It has been a good visit, but you have an ongoing life at home… and so do these folks here. Visits such as this can be anticipated, but each also has a time to be ended. You awoke early, perhaps putting yourself back into Central Daylight time?

Back you shall go to a quieter, pleasant life. Oh, you do need to finish Our Ruminations (this one featuring Me more than you) and have these printed and sent forth… before the end of the month? It shall tell of how this relationship with Me, Holy Spirit, was begun and how it has prospered over these twenty years. Always assume that any of these Letters can be used, by Me, to influence someone… or more… to a closer walk with Me, in a variety of “forms.”

The walk along Waikiki Beach yesterday was a nostalgic one, as long as you could keep imagining “how it was” in the days of your youth. It is good to have such memories, but the actualities of life here continue to change, “leaving you behind.” That is natural, in your culture. You are fast becoming one of the “elderly”… the “old ones,” and this encourages, because of the way your life has been, the remembrance of simpler… and seemingly better… times. Enjoy these remembrances. Just be cautious in voicing comparisons too often. On the other hand, this should be one of the “privileges” of the elderly.

For you, there still is an attraction to this multi-racial, multi-cultural place. But then you’re reminded that you are no longer an active part of this, but, instead, feel at home in a less diverse environment. You wonder, still, if you would have been as happy, as satisfied if you had made your career here. It certainly would have been different, but there’s no accurate way to compare what has been with what “might have been.” Just be assured, again, that the way your life developed – professionally, personally, and geographically – was just right for you, in this life as Bob Russell. That’s important to know… and remember.

The “money situation” – your Dad’s estate – is not much clearer than it was before you came. You are reacting well to this, with sufficient income to live your lifestyle comfortably. If and when you receive some “remembrance” from your Dad (and Mother) you can then decide how it could and should be used. Just consider that it should be fun, making those decisions, with Lenore, whenever “the time is right.” Be patient.

You continue to be sorry about the physical and mental losses that you now have… and anticipate. You also recognize that aging brings such losses, almost inevitably, and that yours are not as serious as they could be. Revitalize your home life-style, with the exercise that is a natural part of your days, weeks, and months. Vow to do more of the reading that I have recommended, and continue to “work on”, gently, the contemplation that I favor.

I’ll suggest again – finish the Saga of Michael and then translate the notes on your remembrance of Dad into a story that you can share with family members and others. Just see this as an opportunity unique to you, as his old son.

So… here in this familiar cabaña you hear Me as clearly as home in your more familiar, cluttered Study. I am with you as a Guide and Friend, as We are into the first month beyond Our 20 year accomplishment. Continue to re-read these and then contemplate the impact of what I have said, to you. Continue, of course, in your weekly study and discussion of My “original” Holy Scriptures.
