Another Rhythm

You come, o son, out of commitment and a sense of duty and honor. You are not avidly seeking a teaching from Me, and you are not truly afraid of the consequences of missing a day from those you have pledged. Yet you are here, commencing a new rhythm that shall carry you on into the Fall. Your big convention experience is over, and it was a good, rewarding one. Yet it is exciting to be back at this Farm, and your teaching experiences ahead are promising ones.

Never be reluctant to commence a new rhythm. There is potential value in each new one, value that is almost promised when you move into a new phase with positive anticipation and joy at the prospects. Still, do not leave the one just completed with loose ends and unfinished business. You did this, to an extent, when you returned from Hawaii. You have materials to send to Pete, to Geri, and to Al. Assess now, tomorrow, what needs to be done to put a responsible cloture on the experiences in Phoenix. And then carry these out this week.

A new rhythm can always include tasks that were urged in earlier times but not completed… or even started. You were reminded today, in the class teaching today, of your intent to instill a little more play in your marriage relationship. Do that, by all means.

7:04 PM / 7:44 PM

You have been urged to make some positive changes in your office. You have put that off. Do it, at least by the Thanksgiving recess. Let that office begin to represent your spirit more truly. Decide what to do with old journals and other historical stuff. Accumulate these some place other than your office.

You made a note about a Sharing the Spirit group. You still don’t seem ready to initiate such an effort, but I shall repeat what I told you previously: when you finally do it you shall wonder why you waited so long. Consider the success of your Sunday class, and know that this student group could be comparable.
