Confusion
JUNE 29, 1979, 5:47 AM
Can the Lord come out of the confusion that is my mind and spirit this day. There is more than can be done and no way out, it seems. I don’t wait this morning, but I begin to write of this confusion, seeing if the Spirit can come from these words and feelings.
(The above paragraph was written by Bob Russell as he waited for the Spirit…)
Yes, o son, you knew I was ready, but you just had to begin on your own. I won’t react to that. It shows impatience, which can be desirable or undesirable. You want Me to come and begin the conversation, and this is good. You are unwilling to wait for My direction, and this is not so good. But it surely is a rhythm, of sorts.
You feel confusion, and you seek a way out. Yet you know there is no way out save better organization of your time and a refusal to take on new things until others have been completed. Set your tasks realistically and do them, feeling the rhythm and, importantly, FEELING the satisfaction of accomplishment. This is what you are missing now. You finish something and don’t stop to feel the glow that should come with accomplishment. You commence the next task, and it all blurs together. It is confusion. Thus sayeth the Lord, the Spirit.
One of the reasons why this opportunity – of writing My lessons – has lost its spark is that you don’t take the time to appreciate what We have written… what it means for you. Stop now and read yesterdays teaching. I need not say these things again. It is clear. You understand it. Now live it… but not trying too hard. It is not confusing to Me, but it is for you. I can see this.
Your burdens are not more than you can bear, but if you think they are (and you do, every now and then) they become so to you. All I can say is Wait upon Me. Hear My voice. Reread the teachings. Feel the rhythm. Be aware. Appreciate. Set the tasks in order. Do them. And appreciate them. Appreciate what you have done.
This is all I shall say. The prescription is offered. Elaboration is unnecessary. Feel My direction. Feel the rhythm of walking with the Lord God… of being both yourself, fully, and Me, fully. This is true, but you are not feeling it.
My words do not “hit” as they should. I feel for you. Blessed be this day. Look upon what you accomplish rather than what you don’t.
A hopeful Amen.
