Here In The Earth… Another Try

W. WILLOW, STUDY
Yesterday morn, o son, you resisted the teaching on this theme. I admired your resistance, so I spent most of the hour giving you some better basis for hearing these “non-Scriptural” teachings. Now let us go on with the teaching I did purpose for one day past… Here in the Earth.
As I said, the earth is a testing place. There was an initial start in the Garden, but it was too much like other realms. I had to make it different. So I created evil, and I gave humans will. Now some would resist the affirmation that I created evil, but from where else could it come? You know I created this earth… for My purposes. No one else snuck in as a Creator. What is here, I am responsible for.
I created a process of procreation, so there would be bodies into which souls could incarnate. And each of these souls is given a will. Actually, it is part of the developed self, but there is a special exercise of it in the earth. It appears, to some, as though they have truly free will and can do whatever they wish. The secret, of course, is to discover that the main purpose is that you bring your will and Mine into agreement and congruence. It seems as though free will gives freedom, and being in Me brings bondage. Not so. This is the strange truth that each must learn in the earth. There are several related ones that fit together.
The central one is that already voiced: true freedom comes with accepting Grace and living with your will attuned to Mine. Seeking freedom is a journey away from freedom. Another truth is that important achievements do not come from actually seeking and working for these. This is more a matter of spirit than of physical effort. Achievement usually requires effort, but if you are trying to do it just for yourself there is less success than if the motive is service to Me.
Each time that you come into the earth you have to deal with will and with the illusion that freedom comes in exercising that will. Obviously, if you come in as an American or as a European you have more of a test, for the appearance of freedom is much stronger than in some other societies. One becomes a Chinese or a Malaysian for different motives than for becoming an American. And the experience of life is certainly much different, in relation to will.
The word “illusion” triggered remembrance of the other truth I put in your mind… the illusion that the physical is the central reality. There are lots of clues that I plant and allow which indicate that spirit is more central than physical, but the earth experience is inherently based on that illusion. Those with developed spirits know that spirit is the true reality, but the earth with its hemorrhoidal pains, non-running cars, and mundane tasks continuously tests that knowledge. (Consider: from whence does your money come? Is it from your own efforts, or am I the ultimate source? Would you risk a spiritually based friendship for a few hundred dollars?) All of the tests of life are ultimately of spirit. But earth concepts of responsibility and blame and fairness obscure this reality.
When a soul leaves the earth and reviews her actions there is often the experience of a genuine admixture of sadness and merriment… tears and laughter. If a person truly has missed the spiritual meanings of life in the earth is she ready for higher realms? The earth is not a test you pass or fail, which would be the case if you had only one life opportunity here. Rather, it is a test that finally must be passed – the test of recognizing the spiritual in the midst of the obviously material… the test of knowing that you are ultimately spiritual when the evidence points surely to physical and mental and social.
The earth is an important experience. I lived it as Jesus and that brought a balance to the knowledge I had as Creator. The Scriptures are your basic knowledge source, but this gives a little better balance. Happy birthday, o son of Mine. How many do you suppose you’ve had?
Amen
