Hear, o son, as We speak of that special sacrament of dedication – Holy Communion. You shall experience it in a unique way today, so, first, learn more about it. Since I was and am intimately involved in its development and its mystery and its cruciality, hear, with attention, My teaching.

Holy Communion has about it an aura of timelessness. It almost captures and retains that quality that is in all but this earth realm. It happened long ago, it has happened over the years, it is happening now, and will, again, in the future. And yet there should be about this the sense that this is all the same happening. When you enter into the Communion ritual you move into timelessness… into the inexorable combination of now, then, and when. This can constitute an argument for daily Communion… or the regular weekly practice… for it is important to enter into this spiritual now, that nourishes the soul as nothing else can. It is the experience of spiritual food which can never grow old or stale.

At the same time (as you might expect) its timeless quality also bolsters the practice of regular but in-frequent Communion. It is such an experience that it matters not how much “time” elapses between. That is simply eclipsed into the now of the experience. Also, it is special nourishment, and like some truly special food, it is good to keep it infrequent and anticipated.

Holy Communion is a remembrance, an immediate experience, and an assurance of a better future. First, remembrance. On the night of My arrest, as Jesus, I met for a celebration meal with My special chosen friends. As Jesus, I chose some… and accepted that I, My Father, had chosen some for particular reasons. (In like fashion, those with whom you partake today are special friends, some of which you have selected and some of which I have chosen, for reasons important to Me.) The meal was simple, but fine. It was a memorable celebration of our heritage to that point. Then, knowing that My sacrifice was imminent, wherein My body would be broken and My blood flow forth, I symbolized this in that which I did.
