I Am…

This is a simple sentence with a subject and a verb. Yet it represents the foremost Truth in the earth, the universe, and all that is, in spiritual realms. I, Who speak to you, am the Holy Spirit, but I am at one with the Father God, the Almighty Creator and Sustainer God, and Jesus, the Son and the Christ, the Redeemer of the world. I am Sovereign, despite all of the various political movements, from seemingly powerful dictators to elected officials, carrying out a democratic government of documents and laws. I allow all of this governing to happen because of the special nature of the earth scene, with its unique opportunities for growth. Finally, however, I am still in charge.

I am One who loves diversity and differences in the way souls respond to Me in this realm. I love those who faithfully kneel to Me in prayer several times daily, even as they pray differently than you do. I love those who experience Me in animals, plants, and the non-living environment. They sense and appreciate My essence in these varied aspects of creation. Yet few Christians would consider them to be in touch with Me. Or, probably more true, few Christians would expect Me to be the Great Spirit that has so many diverse manifestations.

When you declare that I am the Sovereign God this does not imply that I am the “tops” among Gods. Rather, it should mean to you that I am the ONLY God, everything else so recognized being manifestations of Me. Oh, there are a number of false or skewed views of Me, but, again, these I allow for My purposes, one of which is to give some of My true servants opportunities to oppose and correct these misrepresentations. Of course what also happens is that some zealous servants attack legitimate expressions of Me… as Saul of Tarsus did. This is one of the costs of the freedom I allow, and every Sovereign, at whatever “level” must continue to monitor these costs.

I am the God of both justice and mercy. There are rewards for faithful, productive service and punishments for unfaithful, low quality service. Yes, even in today’s modern earth scene some of the apparently “bad things” that happen to persons are manifestations of My justice. Some who have such experiences realize and accept these happenings (but in your culture few of these acknowledge this to others). Others do not attribute justified “punishment” to Me, and hence learn little from this response of Mine.

But I also love to be merciful and forgiving. I know the “hearts” – the spirits – of all humans, and thus I am more than aware of how each person feels about actions, intentions, even thoughts about others… and about Me. I have sovereign judgment as to how much justice and how much mercy each deserves, and I’m awfully good in predicting how the balance I choose will affect the individual. Those with strong, developed spirits come closer and closer to understanding My judgments. Those with less developed spirits have difficulty recognizing My actions… or are completely oblivious to Me as a force. Have I anyone to blame but Myself?!
