It’s Healthy… Just To Be Here

It has taken you almost all of the day to finally get to this “encounter” with Me, the Holy Spirit. Once you’ve settled down to hearing from Me you wonder why all of those “other tasks” seemed so important. You are feeling pressed, even in going through mail, but, remember, this lesson with Me is outside of time. There are no clocks or watches as you hear and write. It may not seem so, but I say that it is.

I’ve emphasized that the quality of your health is, ultimately, directly a function of your spirit and its development. So when you “take time” for Me and My Teachings to you it is the most healthy action possible, here in the earth. Just being here… that’s the major healthy behavior.

Tomorrow you’ll again be in that forum, similar to the one you led some weeks ago… both dealing with life and death, presumably in Christian perspective. Continue to hear Me telling you that bodily death is a minor factor in health. In contrast, your more humanistic culture has almost idolized human life, with the ultimate premise that whatever the circumstances, not dying is healthier than dying. I am not pleased with much that is done to maintain bodily life, when there is no comparable attempts to increase the power of spirit. I challenge you to introduce something of this sort in tomorrow’s discussion.

I’ll also note that “announcement” in the mail today of economic depression ahead was another test of your faith that your future is in My hands, and that whatever happens it is what I am causing or allowing, and you shall have all you really need. Your spirit can increase with some hardship, and so I say… go ahead with retirement… you shall be as I want you to be.

Do I do this with every human… each individual? Obviously not. For most of you health is adapting successfully to whatever happens in your life, and I don’t direct these utterly complex interactions. But I could. To suggest that I don’t have the power… or that I am “trapped” by some decision in the distant past… is silly. My compromise is leading and guiding some persons… some all the way through life… others for portions of an earth life. And I have to have no “good” reason for electing someone rather than another. I have no defensible reason for selecting you. I just did. And here We are again.

Neale is another chosen one, despite all the emphasis on free will, to him. Oh, theoretically he (and you) could just walk away and hear Me no more, exercising your will, but I’m pretty certain neither of you would try that. Magnify the feeling you have after even 2 days without a Teaching, and you can imagine a state of very poor health, without Me.

Is this cold right foot a sign of poor health, or is it just a reminder that spirit can often increase with some amount of adversity. Focus on all of the fine, even superior, functioning that you enjoy. Give little thought and attention to imperfections.

Your adventure away from the home Farm was quite worthwhile, and you appreciated most of it. Yet this place is your healthiest environment, and I want you to appreciate this and work to keep this your “best place…” for now, at least.

When you finally complete the various notes and letters, those “owed” and those that just seem “worthy” you shall be back in a more familiar routine. Know that I know, however, that it seems easier to come to Me for Teachings when you’re away than when you’re at “normal speed”. I’m glad to offer you Teachings in airports and on planes and in other strange places, but I also want your attention as part of this good life that I help “provide”.

Yes, you’d better make a list of what really must be done. You have enough time, but it must be used healthfully and responsibly. Isn’t it nicely strange that the letter from David again gave you credit for what has become the concept of responsible decisions in relation to alcohol and other drugs? Even though it’s not known very widely, you did have some influence in that sub-field, and you do well with the course you have taught so long… even as it may be “the last time”.
