Life… And Life… And Life…

The sun shall appear soon, the rooster crows, and you are finally here again to start another day of life in this educative way. You are a human on the planet earth, and therefore you are in the midst of life. There is human life, with many variations… animal life, insect life, microscopic… and the great variety of plants. More importantly, there is spirit, the very essence of life. Everything that I create has some share of spirit. Even as I commence a natural process, such as seeds developing into plants, every result has some touch of spirit. In Christianity there is no emphasis on this, but please do not deny it.
You are completing your fifty ninth year as the human, Bob Russell. You have had many experiences with life during this span, and you shall have many more. You have helped in the creation of human life, and most of your sons have followed you in this. Though yours is not a classic large family, it is an example that I notice… and influence.
The major characteristic of life is growth. And an essential part of this growth process is change, and death is an aspect of change. You have tried to imagine the Garden of Eden, still inhabited by totally obedient, non-sinning humans. How many would there be? Would any have died? Would any have aged? Would insects have died? Would any of the fruit become rotten?
There is a sense in which the original Garden was not a place of growth, and therefore it had to die. Yet the spirit of the Garden… the close walk with Me, obedience as a product of love… this must remain. Spirit does not die, but it grows as it is transformed, and one of these transformations is death.
The medical community in your culture has done much to save and prolong life, but some have lost perspective in relation to their “power”. Even though the loss of a life, especially a young one, (is) (seems) tragic, the saving and prolonging of every human life would produce a worse tragedy. So, if modern medicine were as successful as it wants to be, its very success would bring grim results. Though the Holy Scriptures tell of Me as Creator, that long Story also tells of Me as destroyer… as One who presides over destruction. But I call it necessary change.
You would love to affect lives, from your professorial position, and be aware of growth that you have helped to stimulate. Yet you know, often, that as you take time for one, others cannot benefit from your energies and capacities. So as you extend life for some, that very process withholds it from others. I am the only One who is exempt from this limitation. The time I spend with you is not that amount withheld from anyone else.
In the same sense, spirit, My ultimate creation, never perishes, but is transformed, in ways understood and mystical… both. What happens to the spirit that would have been the essence of a baby that does not survive the birth process? It is NOT lost; that should be understood by all. It continues on, in ways that are a combination of its and My choosing. Being part of a human in the earth is far from the only opportunity that any spirit has.
