Return

This is a month of return, o son of Mine… a month in which your life doubles back and picks up old threads.  Yes, this is part of My purpose.  (You sometimes forget that all things that finally happen to you are part of My purpose.  Life would be much easier for you if you could remember this and judge all happenings by this reality.)  Ask not whether you shall also return, someday, to the Farm.  This is nothing you need to know now.  Just focus on the TRUTH that this return to Carbondale and to the Church here is quite a part of My plan for you.

A return is a reencountering of that and those once experienced.  In some ways, because time is, finally, an illusion, relationships resume as if there had been no “between”.  In other ways, things and people have changed, and relationships must be reestablished.  People grow and develop… and you certainly have, so it is not wise to assume that all stays the same.  Be aware of changes and thoughtfully mesh these with the verities.  Appreciate those with whom spiritual kinship is evident.  This is more your mission now.  Begin, in earnest, to live with this as a prime purpose.

Return is an important human-spiritual experience.  Most Christians do not appreciate, as you do, the fullness of this concept.  Return is an opportunity to carry on with what was once developing but not completed or not brought to full flower… or to return to doing what was once a joy and a service to others.  Your writing is such a blessing.  You shall consider returning to this service for the Church.

Return is also an opportunity to complete some things not completed… to right some wrongs left hanging.  Consider whether this applies to you here in this place.

It is good to move and have new experiences.  You do this rather well, melding your experiences from one “life” into the reality of another.  It tests and keeps vital your adaptability.  This is pleasing and useful to Me.

It is equally good to return with ties to that to which you return, yet also with other experiences that shall benefit those here… and be part of your own growth.

You are hesitant to write what you think you hear Me saying.  You are leading a split spiritual life, certainly – committed to the Church, Presbyterian and yet accepting of the reality of reincarnation as My ultimate Way.  As I said to My servant Edgar, live with both, know that both are true.  This is part of My plan that I shall not reveal to you now… or soon.  Just know… and seek comfort in saying… that two things can be true though they seem to contradict each other.  My servant Alan said it with beautiful brevity and clarity – Existence is odd.

The Bible tells, immediately, of two ways in which I created the earth and all that now is.  Is one true and the other false?  Paul says faith is all I ask.  James says service and works are what I ask.  Which is in addition to which?

Return is to the same, and, still, to the different.  Be as fully aware of this as you can be.  Learn from it.  Be fully in it.

Know ye that you must return to writing that is more related to Our task.  This N.E.A. book is a contribution, but, as you knew it would be, it is also a chore and a hassle at this time of year.  Keep your balance.  Retain a positive outlook.  Work and serve through this, accepting whatever the result shall be.

RETURN.  Yes, I have pulled you to a return.  This is necessary for you at this time.  Balance your other commitments as you can.  But be here with Me each day.  You have much to learn.  I am not “in a hurry”, but as I am ready for something it seems silly for Me to wait unnecessarily.  So I shall “lean on you” now, urging you in the direction of My purposes, guiding your development, forgiving your sins, and wanting, yea demanding, your service.  Such a nice offer you can’t refuse, can you?

Move ahead with your writing and editing.  Share this with Lisa.  Be My servant.  It is My pleasure to be your Lord.

Amen
